ANNUAL CLUB CHAMPIONSHIPS 2023

This year Torquay Leanders’ Annual Club Championships will be a licenced competition. This is great news for the swimmers as it means all times achieved will be viewed as ‘official’ and can be used for other licenced meets and also for the ASA (Swim England) rankings. The licenced races will take place on the above dates, with some longer distance unlicenced races taking place at other times.

All Torquay Leander swimmers are capable of entering a race or two. The championships are fun and a great way to get to know other swimmers in the club. Speak to your coach if you are unsure about what you should enter.

FAQ

• Please visit our competition guide if this is your first gala.
• Please arrive at approxiately 15 mins before the session warm up time.
  • Thursday & Monday – 5.45pm for a 6pm warmup
  • Saturday 1.45pm for a 2pm warmup
• A tuck shop will be running during all sessions, selling snacks, juice and water.
• The club will be running a 50/50 raffle on Saturday, where 50% of the proceeds go into the prize pot and 50% goes towards the club to help cover the cost of running the championships.

AWARDS NIGHT

Please join us on Saturday 27th January 2024 at the Boots and Laces next door to the pool for our annual awards night. It’s great fun with food and a disco, a chance to celebrate all of our fantastic young swimmers. Trophies and medals won at the club championships will be awarded on this evening.
